Can we all stop to admire how fabulous this ensemble is, captured by Tommy Ton outside the London Spring 2013 Menswear shows? I spy: an 80s glam rock jacket a la Miu Miu, a neon floral Christopher Kane top (or dress??), an adorably zany Meadham Kirchhoff monster purse, and of course, a fluorescent yellow hairdo reminiscent of Lady Gaga in her "Telephone" days. A photo-worthy outfit indeed.

Friday, I'm In Love: Miu Miu

This Miu Miu clutch is so absolutely perfect. Most clutches are gold or black, which is so totally boring for spring, but this clutch is coral and I absolutely adore coral. The shape is sweet and flirty, too, and I kind of like how the gold at the top reminds me of an awesome mustache. The clutch is available at net-a-porter.com

Christmastime always brings loads of perfume and fashion videos. I wish fashion videos would get more recognition, because they are way more creative than most other commercial videos. Here are some of my recent favorites:

"Shade Parade" by Chanel

"Prada Candy" by Prada

"J'adore Dior" by Dior

"Portrait of Hailee" by Miu Miu

Lanvin

Versace for H&M

Alice + Olivia

"Valentina" by Valentino

(all videos not mine, I'm just sharing them)

Think I'm In Love

You know that feeling you get when you see an extremely attractive guy, how your brain goes all fuzzy like wrackspurts are invading it and everything around you just stops? Well, I got that feeling today. Only, there was no (straight) man in sight. No, it was in the shoe department of Nordstrom where I, Lindsey, fell in love with the most beautiful pair of Miu Miu boots.

Earlier today when making my shopping list for fall I wrote in big letters: LOOK FOR TIMELESS PIECES WITH SPECIAL EMBELLISHMENTS AND DETAILS. Well, friends, I have found that piece! Shall I describe these boots to you? Black, knee-high suede boots. Two inch heel. They seem pretty nondescript at first glance. You nod at them and think, okay, these boots are alright, but nothing special.

BUT THEN...you notice the heel. Dozens of tiny clear crystals bedazzle the chunky heel. These boots, these seemingly plain boots, suddenly become extraordinary. This tiny adjustment to plain jane boots makes them magical. They are still seasonless -black, my darling, goes with everything, you know- but those tiny jewels give a perfect touch of glamour.

I am already counting the days until these bad babies go on sale. Also, the "Miu Miu Boots or Bust!" savings fund begins now.

Dorothy Would Love These

It feels like some designers had sweet Kansas girl Dorothy on the brain this fall. If they were to make a modern-day adaptation of the Wizard of Oz, well, the costumers would have plenty of designer options.

These Miu Miu heels have Dorothy's magical slippers (did you know that the original slippers were sliver? They only made the film shoes red to maximize the use of new technicolor technologies) written all over.

These dresses, by Rodarte and Louis Vuitton encapsulate the personality of the sweet Kansas farm girl living in the thirties.

Living the Dream

My girl crush on Hailee Steinfeld has only grown tenfold after seeing her gorgeous ad campaign for Miu Miu's fall 2011 collection. While I was unsure of how well-suited Hailee was for this collection -the clothes seem a bit too mature for her- the pictures are stunning. Especially the more candid shots. I am so envious of her right now! She is just too beautiful!
